Jimmy (Barley Kennels, Essex)

15/2/13 – Jimmy didn’t have to wait long – he went home with a wonderful person who spotted him on the Oldies Club!

This handsome boy is Jimmy, a 9 year old Greyhound who came to Barley Kennels in Essex after being sadly neglected by his former owners. This lovely older boy really deserves a loving and comfortable retirement home.

Jimmy is a smaller sized greyhound who is very friendly and affectionate. He just loves and adores being with people. He is untested with smaller dogs but could probably happily live with another greyhound, although he wouldn’t mind being an only dog, if someone was around for a good part of the day.

Jimmy walks very well on lead and really enjoys his walks. Since he has not been properly exercised for many years, however, he will need gentle exercise at first in order to gradually build up his muscles.

Jimmy likes to jump up for cuddles, so would do best in a home with older children, but probably shouldn’t live with little ones. He recently had a full dental where he had several teeth extracted, but is in good health otherwise.

If you have fallen for this handsome lad, please contact Barley Kennels as follows:

Tel: 01992 890 540 (Joy Battley)
Email: Joy.battley@btinternet.com
or visit their website and complete an online form

Please mention that you saw Jimmy on the Oldies Club website.
