Nigel (The Mayhew Animal Home, London)
I’m Nigel, a 12 year old male Staffy who arrived at The Mayhew after being found abandoned on the streets of London.
I‘m a sweet-natured chap with lots of character. I’m super friendly with everyone I meet, always greeting people with a waggy tail. I also like to talk to people with barks and little grumbling noises. I’m a very affectionate boy. I’m active for my age and would expect my new owners to provide me with a minimum of one hour off lead exercise daily. I enjoy going to the park and get along well with other dogs I meet out and about but I won’t tolerate them harassing me and I will tell them off if they become too much for me.
I have slightly raised liver enzymes so I need to be fed a special diet, which isn’t a problem as I love my food! I also love my toys and I especially enjoy de-stuffing teddies.
I’m now looking for a forever home with someone who has owned dogs before and has researched my breed type. I’ll need a home where there is someone around for most of the day and I’ll need to live in a house or flat with direct access to a garden. I’d happily live with teenagers and I can live with a female dog providing we’re the right match. I wouldn’t be suitable to live with cats.
