Friendly Kye came into the RSPCA Macclesfield with several other dogs from an owner who had disabilities and could not give them what they needed. He is an 11 year old Collie cross Whippet.

Kye is a lovely, friendly boy who just loves attention. He has been brought up with children and he will make a lovely family pet, but perhaps better suited to a more mature family to match his age! However, he is an active dog so don’t be fooled! Kye is fine with other dogs, though the rescue feels he’d prefer to be the only pet so he can get all the attention he needs. He can’t be rehomed with cats.

Kye needs a home where someone is around a lot of the time as he’s lived his whole life with company. His recall may need some work as he doesn’t always come straight back when called – must be the Whippet in him!

Kye, unfortunately, sustained very bad injuries as a result of an incident involving 2 other dogs, so he has gone into a foster home to help him recuperate. Kye has now fully recovered and has been signed off by the vet. He loves his walks and enjoys meeting other dogs so the aforementioned incident has not affected him, which is great!

Kye is neutered, wormed, microchipped and had flea treatment. Also, he is fully vaccinated and has had a dental. You can see a short video of him here.

Kye’s a lovely dog who should not be behind bars at his age, rather enjoying some home comforts.
