Becky (English Springer Spaniel Welfare, Somerset)

22/6/13 Becky has found a long-term foster home!

————

Becky is 14 years old and is in Somerset. English Springer Spaniel Welfare are seeking a permanent foster home for Becky.

Becky’s elderly owners are now in a care home and poor Becky has been in kennels for nearly a year as they were undecided what to do with her. They have decided to sign Becky into the care of ESSW, who are seeking a permanent foster home for Becky. ESSW will meet all veterinary costs for Becky; they would just love to get her out of kennels. She has been a house dog all her life and a much loved and pampered pet, it would be lovely for her to be back in a loving home.

Becky is a lovely girl who is good with people and with other dogs, but ESSW won’t rehome her with children. She isn’t good with cats. She is housetrained and fine to be left for a while.

Becky loves her walks and is still very active. She is deaf so needs to stay on the lead on walks. She travels well and is fine about being handled and groomed.

Becky ruled the roost in her previous home and so she needs an experienced home. She can be food/possession aggressive, but this can be dealt with easily, and Becky has come on very well while living in kennels.

She is neutered and will undergo a full vet check and any necessary treatment prior to being fostered.
