Update 26/7/2006 Sophie goes to her new home today!

Sophie’s owner has passed away and she is looking for a new home at the age of 12. She needs a caring owner who will make sure she has a strict diet.

Sophie is a 12 year old Collie Cross. She is at the Dogs Trust Merseyside Rehoming Centre as her owner sadly passed away.

Dogs Trust don’t know much about Sophie’s history but she is lovely, gentle giant and loves a bit of attention. She mixes well with other dogs and should make someone a great pet.

Sophie is very overweight at the moment and is on medication for a thyroid condition. She will therefore need to stick to a strict diet and needs an understanding owner. Dogs Trust will pay for all ongoing treatment for this condition.

Because it is not known what Sophie is like in a home environment, Dogs Trust recommend that she goes to a home free from children under the age of 15.
