Creative children needed for Oldies Club Christmas Card 2007 competition! – This competition is now closed.

The Oldies Club charity is looking for some help from its younger supporters! :)

We have launched a competition in the hope of finding a new and unique design for this year’s Oldies Club Christmas card.

The theme is “older dogs at Christmas” and we invite those aged 16 or under to submit a drawing or painting which best represents this theme for them. Entries must be suitable for replication for printing on a “standard” sized Christmas card. Children might like to look at the Oldies Club website https://www.oldies.org.uk for inspiration – parental supervision is advised.

Entries must be original and created solely by the entrant, without adult help. Please include the age of the child when submitting the entry. The competition is open to those aged 16 and under – there is no minimum age limit.

There is no charge for entering the competition and children can enter more than one design if they wish. There will be a prize, in the form of a cuddly toy, given for the winning design smile.gif

Entries can be submitted by email to Angela at f@oldies.org.uk (either by scanning the drawing or taking a good quality photo of it) or by post (please email for a postal address).

If you are submitting the drawing by email, please keep hold of the original – if submitting by post, you may wish to pay to have a colour copy made. The Oldies Club does not accept responsibility for any drawings which do not arrive by either email or post, in time for the closing date. If you submit your child’s entry by post, please ensure it is no bigger than a side of A4 so it can be scanned :)

The competition will remain open until Wednesday 26 September. We look forward to seeing the entries!! Please feel free to let your children’s friends, school etc. know about the competition – the more entries, the merrier :)

The winning design will be chosen by members of the Oldies Club committee and/or opened to public vote. If a suitable design is chosen from the entries, the Oldies Club reserves the right to use the design for promotional/fundraising purposes, including for Christmas cards and on the charity’s website.

A poster advertising the competition can be downloaded/printed if you are able to display it at schools etc: Christmas Card 2007 Competition
