Cazzie (Bath Cats and Dogs Home)

30/12/13 – Great news for the new year – lovely Cazzie has been adopted by one of her long-time dog walkers. Her dog had died and she found herself with a staffie-shaped space in her home which has been filled by Cazzie.

Meet wonderful Cazzie who is being rehomed by Bath Cats and Dogs Home. Cazzie is an 9 year old Staffy Cross girl who has waited a long time for a new home despite being affectionate, fun to be with, and just downright cute!

Here’s an update from Cazzie’s carer:

Why this total sweetheart is still at the home is a mystery to me! She loves to flirt with new people, and make them fuss her through the bars! Cazzie absolutely adores her friends; she loves and craves human company. She has a wonderful nature, despite a rough start in life.

She loves her walks, and walks beautifully on the lead, no pulling at all. Although she doesn’t get on with other dogs, she tends to ignore them and pretend they aren’t there rather than the normal barking/lunging you’d expect.

Cazzie ideally needs someone around most of the time, as she gets lonely. We have crate trained her at the home to help with this though.

Cazzie can live with children 8+, or younger if they are used to bull breeds – she can just have a tendency to get overexcited and begin to mouth – however even this is done gently!

This gorgeous girl really doesn’t deserve to be in kennels and is desperate to start the new year by finding a home! (Can you tell she’s a favourite?!)

And here’s a short video of Cazzie having fun:

Cazzie’s an active girl so would like a home where she’ll get plenty of fun walks and mental stimulation. She is very people orientated and loves company so needs a home with someone around most of the time. She would whine if left for a long time, but she should be fine to be left for very short periods if occupied with a bone or chew in her crate.

Cazzie needs to be the only dog in her new home and can’t live with cats, but she can live with children aged about 8+. Cazzie’s had some basic training but can be quite excitable so further training would be great for her. She’s very food orientated so enjoys rewards for learning new things! Cazzie enjoys her walks and she loves to play. She needs to be muzzled when out and about.

If you’re at home a lot of the time and want an active, cheerful friend to keep you company and to get you out in the fresh air, you could be the person that Cazzie has been waiting for.

Even though she wrote a letter to Santa, and got in the festive spirit, Cazzie still didn’t get a home…
