Gem (West Norfok RSPCA, Kings Lynn)

20/9/13 – Gem has found a home!

‘Gem by name and Gem by nature’ is how West Norfolk RSPCA describe this beautiful girl, who is sure to get any Border Collie fan’s heart-a-pounding. She is 8 years young and comes into rescue because her owners are no longer able to keep her and through no fault of her own.

Gem is just absolutely lovely and is adored by everyone at the rescue. She is such a loving, friendly girl and it must have broken her owner’s heart to give her up. She is a wriggly, waggy-tailed girl who just loves a fuss and a cuddle. She is extremely well behaved, knows basic commands and is house trained. She travels well and can be left happily for a few hours.

Gem has lived with other dogs and a cat and has mixed with babies upwards, and she has loved them all! She is still in the prime of her life and is still very active. She had a lovely long time playing ball with her new friends which she adored and her face lit up, bless her. She was thrilled to discover the delights of a boomer ball, she absolutely loved it! She is perfectly fit and active and runs speedily after a ball. She loves to play and is a really fun girl! She will need two good walks every day please to keep her mind and body happy and healthy.

Gem will be spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and can be rehomed outside of the county, subject to a successful homecheck and if she is not snapped up locally first. She does have some hair loss, radiating from the base of tail area, but this is being remedied.

If you want a good all-round dog, please consider Gem, as she is very distressed in kennels and cannot understand her confinement. She desperately needs a loving, forever home NOW please…if not sooner!

Gem will be an absolute jewel in your life and is sure to make her new owners very happy. If you can bring this beautiful, well behaved and loving lady into your life, please contact West Norfolk RSPCA as follows:
