Wilma (Rovers Dog Rescue, Essex)

21/2/2013 Wilma is now happily reserved for a lovely home in March. The rescue say it was found through a response from Oldies and are very grateful.

Wilma is a black and white, broken-coated Lurcher. She is approximately 7 years old according to the vet’s estimate (though it was initially thought she was younger), and is a medium-sized lady, 22” to the shoulder.

Wilma came into a foster home in Blackmore, Essex under the care of Rovers Dog Rescue . She was very nervous but has blossomed into an affectionate girl. She is still wary of strangers initially, but soon accepts them if allowed her time.

As you can see, Wilma is living in foster with lots of other dogs of all sizes without any problems. She also adores the teenage children. Wilma is house-trained and quiet at night and also when left for reasonable lengths of time. She walks lovely on the lead and has good recall although not always perfect!!

Wilma has not been cat tested so this is unknown, although she did live with parrots in her previous home which she lost through no fault of her own but due to family bereavement.

Wilma has no known medical needs and has been speyed. She is a very special girl and whoever adopts her will be very lucky as she is a genuine pleasure to foster.
