Kia (Friends of Akitas Trust, fostered Greater Manchester)

14/03/18 – Friends of Akitas asked us to take Kia off as they’ve lost touch with her “owners”. She must be a failed foster living happily ever after!

This stunning lady is Kia and she is an absolute star!  She is an adorable 7 year old Akita who is looking for a new home of her own and at present, is in the care of the Friends of Akitas.

Kia is looking for a fairly active new home and would fit into most households. She would make a fantastic family pet as she is great with older children.  She would be best with older dog savvy children because of her size and she can also get a little excitable.  She may also be able to live with another male companion after careful introductions too.

One look at her beautiful face and gorgeous soft brown eyes and you are lost. The rescue have said that this girl will steal the heart of anyone she meets and they could spend all day listing her good qualities including how curious, adorable, loving, sweet and devoted she is and we certainly have to agree!

She is so laid back and gentle and will make herself at home in no time at all.  She loves companionship and just wants to be by your side enjoying plenty of cuddles, fuss and belly rubs which she would enjoy all day long if you let her.

Kia loves going for walks and enjoys exploring the world around her.  She walks beautifully on the lead and would enjoy a nice walk everyday or a good run in the park.  She is a bright girl who knows quite a range of commands which she will happily show you, especially if she can enjoy a tasty treat afterwards.

This wonderful girl will bring so much love and joy to the person who is lucky enough to give her a new home.  So if you think that is you and you would like to find out more, then please contact the Friends of Akitas as follows:
