Leyla (Freshfields Animal Rescue, Liverpool)

Lovely Leyla is an 8 year old, super affectionate Staffy girl looking for a new home with the help of Freshfields Animal Rescue in Liverpool. She’s great with children and would be happy to live with some of 8+ years. She’d rather be the only dog at home but she’s OK with other dogs when out and about as she’s a very sensible lady, having been thoroughly loved all her life.

Leyla’s current owners think it’s in her best interests to find her a new home where someone is around for most of the day. Since they moved house, Leyla has begun to show signs of separation anxiety. With their long working hours, they feel someone with more time could help Leyla to feel safe again.

She has grown up around children and has always been fantastic with them. She is OK with other dogs on walks, but is not usually let off the lead if other dogs are around in the park. She has never shown aggression to any but her owners have always erred on the side of caution because you never know about the other dogs’ behaviour. Although they haven’t let her go over to other dogs, if one comes up to meet her she is fine and has only ever given a warning growl if the other dog has been a bit too bouncy. She’s remarkably polite!

So Leyla’s looking for a home where she’ll have company for most of the time. She needs to get into a routine so she understands that she’s not actually being abandoned. That you are always coming home to her! It may take a few weeks before Leyla feels secure. She is such a lovely, sweet and sensitive girl!

She adores her home comforts, comfy beds, a couch, she is not fussy! She really loves to lie in front of the fire! Leyla is a very loving girl and will make a doting and cheerful addition to the family.

Leyla isn’t at the Freshfields Animal Rescue site so if you want to see if she’s the girl for you, you’ll need to phone them and make an appointment to meet her.
