4/6/16 – We are delighted to hear that, after his Old Dog of the Week appearance, adorable little Syd has found a new home at last!
This little cutie is Syd, a 10 year old Terrier boy who ended up in rescue due to his owner’s ill health. Syd has been at RSPCA Danaher Animal Home in Essex for a few months now and is still needing a home.
Syd is an active little dog who enjoyed home comforts for 10 years and so he is finding kennels quite a stressful experience. Syd still has plenty of energy and loves going for long walks and exploring. He would love his new owner(s) to be used to terriers and be happy to keep him occupied and busy.
Syd doesn’t like it when you leave him, but Danaher have found ways to deal with this and will be happy to advise his new owner on this.
Syd would be best as an only dog as he can be a bit snappy with some dogs. He needs a home without cats. He would prefer an adult home but could perhaps live with sensible older children. He is a fun loving little chap who will make a great companion.
Danaher sent this update on Syd:
“Syd has been waiting for his new home for a while now. He is generally a very sweet boy who loves company and adores his walks. He does, though, have one problem that needs a special person to help him with. Syd doesn’t like it when you leave him and can be a little challenging. We know that Syd can be managed if handled in a way that he finds easier and have found a couple of ways that work well in the kennels – we would be happy to help a new owner understand Syd’s little ways. Syd is really hoping that someone with experience and patience will come along soon, as he’s not very happy in his kennel.”
