Basil (Rescue Remedies, Surrey)

Say hello to Basil! This cute little chap is a 9 year old Patterdale terrier who is seeking a loving new home with the help of Rescue Remedies. Sadly Basil has been waiting for awhile so we hope by showing his sweet irresistible face on the Oldies Club, his new family will spot him and make him a member of their household.

Basil is a lovely boy,  but he needs to take time to get to know you and trust you. But once he does, you will have a friend for life! He is a sweet little cuddle monster and he has so many cuddles to give. The recipient of these cuddles will be a very lucky person indeed!

Here is a video of this special boy that shows what a loving dog he is!

Little Basil is a bit wary around new people and strange dogs. He wears a little muzzle while outdoors to keep him out of trouble, but he does make a few select doggy friends and like to play with them. Likewise with people; he is picky but once he latches onto you, he will devote himself to you.

Basil loves belly rubs!

Here is what one of Basil’s walkers and fortunate friends has to say about this special boy:

“I always consider myself very lucky to be one of Basil‘s friends, he can be a bit choosy with the humans he loves but once he loves you he SUPER LOVES you. He has quite a dedicated bunch of fans who insist on his company and he’s lucky enough to get fairly regular weekend foster breaks with his all time fave human Amy.

I took him out on Saturday with his new friend Sammy and they were quite the adorable terrier pair. What makes me sad is that I’ve known Basil for a long time now and I can see how much he has aged, he doesn’t want for much, just one person to adore and a quiet life.”

Come and meet Basil and see if you are someone he can be friends with! If he does, you will be a member of an elite few! Are you the one who can offer him the loving retirement home he so richly deserves?

If you would like to give dear Basil the home he deserves, please complete the Rescue Remedies online homing questionnaire here.

Please mention you saw Basil on the Oldies Club website.
