Benny (Romford Greyhound Homing, Essex)

6/2/18 – Handsome Benny has found a new home.

Benny is a retired greyhound, born in 2008 and retired from racing in 2012. He’s currently in the care of Romford Greyhound Homing in Brentwood, Essex.

Benny is a very friendly and affectionate boy and he loves some fuss and attention. The best part of his week is Saturday morning when one of the loyal supporters comes to take him and his kennel mate, Tish, for a lovely long walk in the countryside. Benny would love to be going for nice long walks like this every day.

Benny hasn’t met many other breeds of dog, so currently he needs to be walked in a muzzle, but with regular outings his socialisation skills are improving. In his new home Benny would be fine as an only dog, or he could live with a female greyhound companion.

Benny loves his food and he enjoys getting some fuss and cuddles. He’s great with people and could live in a family home with older children.

This lovely fellow has been in kennels for four years. That’s a long time to have missed out on all the wonderful delights a home can offer. Benny can only dream that one day he’ll have a comfy sofa all of his own.
