Danny (German Shepherd Dog Rescue, London)

Darling Danny is a 7 year old German Shepherd boy, currently in London. He’s being rehomed through German Shepherd Dog Rescue because his family are moving into a flat and can’t take him with them. It’s very sad for all concerned as he’s such a lovely boy!

Danny can live with sensible, older children but he wants to be an only pet. He needs an experienced owner who will help him overcome his nervousness of new people, at his own pace. With enough practice of happy encounters (with lots of praise and treats!) he’ll be much more confident and relaxed.

German Shepherds are super intelligent dogs, ranking 3rd for intelligence out of 137 breeds! They love learning new things. They exist to please their people, as well as to cherish them.

Danny is used to walking on a long lead and not having to walk to heel, so a bit more training’s needed there. His recall is good when he’s off lead when not too distracted.

Two things which Danny has mastered to perfection are: he’s very good in the car and he enjoys having a shower! It goes without saying that he’s staggeringly, fluffily gorgeous. Can you imagine cuddling into that amazing coat?!
