Tilly (RSPCA West Norfolk Branch, Kings Lynn)

19/08/17 – Tilly has been adopted having been spotted as the Oldies Club Old Dog of the Week! Hooray!

Big, beautiful Tilly is a 7-8 year old Shar Pei cross girl in the care of RSPCA West Norfolk Branch‘s Eau Brink Rehoming Centre, Kings Lynn. She arrived with her brother Winston (who would love to be adopted with Tilly if possible) when their owner became too unwell to look after them. Poor old Tilly has become increasingly stressed in kennels, so it’s been decided to allow them to be rehomed separately if this means Tilly can enjoy home comforts sooner. Fostering her is also an option. She just needs some peace!

Tilly is a lovely natured lady, very well behaved. She’s good with most other dogs and even cats! She’s used to children and could live with dog savvy ones from age 10 upwards. She can be shy sometimes and would appreciate a Tilly Retreat (e.g. a cosy bed) which is just for her to relax in.

Tilly is good on the lead and friendly with most other dogs she meets. She’d love a couple of walks a day and a garden to potter about in too. Obviously, she’s a big strong girl so her owners need to be calm, confident and active. She’s ever so good though!

Tilly travels well in the car. She’s clean and tidy in the home. She was used to having company most of the time but should be fine to be left for a couple of hours. Of course, she’d be even happier if she had her brother for company too!

Tilly on the left and Winston on the right. They’re like Winnie-the-Pooh and Piglet, Tilly being Piglet.

Two dogs are often easier than one, keeping each other relaxed and entertained. A snuggled, snoring pair of dogs is probably the most contented scene in the world! But, no pressure, the most important thing is that Tilly finds the safety and love of a proper home asap. Bless her!
