Winnie (Animal Helpline, Cambridgeshire)

22/4/18 – Winnie has found her new home!

Winnie is a 10 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel cross girl. She’s been in kennels in Cambridgeshire with Animal Helpline for far too long! She has a kennel mate so she’s not too lonely or stressed but still, it’s high time she found her perfect human. She’ll be such perky little companion!

Winnie would like an adult only home as she gets unnerved by sudden movements. An active retired person or couple would be perfect for her. You need to be used to cheeky dogs for Winnie as, although she can be very good, she does seem to need reminding that it’s required on occasion! She does a good “sit” and “paw” for a treat and she’s ever so bright.

A volunteer at the rescue recently said, My most enjoyable walk of the day was with the excitable little Winnie. Gosh she was bouncing today, practically flying, full of fun. When she heard me laughing it made her worse! She does like to kick up the dirt with all four paws. One happy girl, she loves her walks and understands everything you say. She brightened up my day…”

Another said, Little Winnie is still there! Couldn’t believe it when I saw her come skipping out tail wagging, looking as pretty as ever, saying “let’s be off then”. You can’t be undecided with little Winnie. She loves her walks!

She has a new kennel mate who she seems very fond of and was sidling up close to him. Winnie loves the extender, she was running and jumping in the sunshine being very playful and skittish.

It would be great if there was someone who could see her potential and with a bit of experience, bring the best out of this little girl.”
