Alfie is an 18 year old Jack Russell Terrier who was placed into boarding kennels when his elderly owner was taken into hospital. Sadly, Alfie’s owner didn’t return home, and Alfie was at risk of being put to sleep. Thankfully he is now in the care of Change a Paw Life Rescue in a foster home in Essex. He just needs to find a lovely permanent home to retire to.
Alfie loves affection and will make the most wonderful companion to snuggle up with to watch TV. He settles well at night once he knows his surroundings and he will happily sleep the days away too.
Alfie could live in a home with visiting children aged 10 plus, and he takes no notice of the resident cats at his foster home. He has also integrated well with the other dogs in foster.
Alfie has been vet checked and apart from having a grade 2 heart murmur and being partially blind and deaf with arthritis in his back legs, he seems to be fine! Alfie currently has loose stools (this might improve once he’s settled and recovered from his recent stress of course). He does try hard to get to the outside space to do his business, but doesn’t always quite make it.
Could you offer sociable Alfie a calm, comfortable home in which to snooze and snuggle the days away?
