29/10/19 – Bobby is being fostered with a view to being adopted!
Dear, sensitive little Bobby is a 7 year old fox red Dachshund/Jack Russell Cross in foster care in Hingham, Norfolk, through Safe Rescue. Bobby was one of thirteen dogs taken to the Botosani public shelter in Romania by their elderly owner. Her husband had died and she’d been forced to sell her house. It was such a tragic and touching story.
Bobby is a funny little character with the typical characteristics of his breed make-up. All of the dogs from this situation are under-socialised and not confident with strangers. They probably lived in the yard and didn’t see anyone but the elderly couple. They have all had a tough learning curve to follow, but you can teach an older dog new tricks and Bobby now walks perfectly on a lead and enjoys his walks.
Bobby adores his foster mum and will follow her anywhere and will transfer this love to his adopters within a few days in his new home. Adopters must not expect him to run up to them with his tail wagging or leap into their arms when they visit, but must look at how he is with his foster mum and see how he will be with them after just a little time and patience.
Bobby tolerates other dogs but would be happier in a home on his own. He is not used to children or cats and needs a quiet retirement with a calm understanding owner or two.
This cute little chap is crying out for a retirement home and will be the most loyal little dog anyone could wish for. He just needs that caring someone to take a chance on him. This cute, dinky boy has a big heart and winning his love is well worth the wait!
Bobby is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. If you can offer Bobby the companionship he needs, at his own pace, please contact Safe Rescue (quoting his ref. O330777 and his location ref. FR006) as follows:
