Ike (Safe Rescue, fostered Norfolk)

** 15/1/20 – Ike still needs a home **

Ike (short for Isaac) is a 7 year old, smallish Crossbreed boy, possibly with some Basset Hound in the mix. He’s in foster care in Beetly, Norfolk, through Safe Rescue.
Ike has spent at least five of his seven years suffering a miserable existence at the notorious Botosani shelter in Romania. Being one of 700 ignored and forgotten dogs has taken its toll on Ike and he doesn’t find it easy to trust new people.
Initially he was so terrified when a lead was put on him that he had a complete melt down but he is now walking well on a lead and even runs freely with a trailing lead and has a lovely time.

Ike is very food motivated and with more one to one attention in a less dog populated environment Safe Rescue are confident he will thrive and learn to trust quite quickly.

Ike needs a home with another confident dog as being thrust into a house full of unknown humans and no dog to turn to for reassurance would be too much for him to cope with. He’d better not live with cats or small animals and he cannot live with young children. He needs his rest!
Ike travels well in a car, although he can be a little nervous of getting in. This is improving daily and will continue to be worked on in his foster home. Fun walkies at the end of car journeys are doing wonders for him!

This dear little boy deserves a retirement of love and fun!
