Stella (Safe Rescue, fostered Norfolk)

23/2/20- Stella still needs a home

Stella has such a sad story to tell, but it’s got a happy ending now that she’s been rescued from Romania by Safe Rescue and is now flourishing in a foster home in Norfolk.

Stella is a 9 year old, medium-sized Crossbreed. She used to live somewhere around a park in Romania and, from time to time, she came in the park, walked around and then went away. She never trusted people enough to let them touch her, but she would go close so that they could feed her.

One day she came with a very bad injury in one leg, the scar is still visible, but still she would not let them touch her or help her until a dog attacked her, grabbed her by the head and, although the injury was not deep, she could not stand or walk. This time, she was too weak to fight back and she was taken to the vet where she took weeks to recover.

That was 6 years ago and poor Stella has been in a shelter ever since. Having had to interact with people there she is now much friendlier, and at last she is in the U.K. looking for a new home.

Now, Stella is an affectionate dog who loves to play with other dogs in her foster home. Her energy levels defy her years and she still has energy for fun. Having never experienced walks or being on a lead before, she is now learning that late in life. Now she is enjoying her walks and just needs more practice to gain experience.

Stella would be suited to an adult home or with no children under 10 years. She would like a dog companion in the home but could live as an only dog as long as she can see other dogs socially on walks.

Stella is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.
