Please meet cuto Banjo, a sweet older dog who has spent his entire life at various shelters and just unlucky that he never got chosen to be adopted. Now he’s hoping his luck will change with Love Underdogs in Waltham Abbey, Essex, helping him to find that loving, forever home.
Banjo is a 12 year old, medium size Terrier (20kg) who can be overlooked when people first come to see him because he tends not to be over-excited with people he does not know well; he can appear a bit disinterested. He is, however, a very happy and affectionate dog once he realises you are investing a bit of time in him. He probably won’t throw a party on the first meet, but he will certainly become an affectionate boy over time.
Banjo is a gentle soul who walks well on the lead and will be fine as an only dog or with another gentle dog. He will fit into someone’s life easily as old dogs do and he will make someone feel very special giving them the best smile ever. A loving retirement home would be perfect for Banjo with nice walks and a garden. He does like to go on his adventures and so would like a somewhat active home.
Banjo loves his walks, his food and his friends. He is okay with most dogs apart from the odd one or two he doesn’t much like, but they are far and few in between. Banjo would be fine with a relaxed cat and any children should be aged 14+ please as he is a senior dog who needs a relaxed retirement. He loves watching the world go by and chilling out on his comfy bed.
Banjo has had a full vet check, dental, and blood tests and now he has a clean bill of health. He’s neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and has his own passport. All Love Underdogs’ dogs are rehomed with a home trial for 2 weeks before a formal adoption and behaviourist support is offered for the lifetime of the dog.
