Gorgeous boy Danny is a 9 year old Lurcher-type in the care of Freshfields Animal Rescue in Liverpool. He’s looking for an adult only home as an only pet and with a big enough garden for zoomies!
He’s a shy, sensitive sort so you can imagine how stressful kennel life is for him. Once he gets to know you he’s very affectionate and loving but it takes a while to gain his trust. Potential adopters will need to make a few visits to meet him, then there’ll be slow introductions into the home. Please bear in mind the distance between you and the rescue. His love is well worth the effort of building up a strong bond.
He has this to say, “Hello! My name is Danny and I’m just desperate for my new family to find me. I first arrived at Freshfields way back when I was a baby in 2012 but once I was old enough I quickly found my new home! Unfortunately my whole world turned upside down a couple of years ago and I found myself back at Freshfields.
“My friends here love me very much and they say I am such a clean boy. I would be happy to be left alone for a couple of hours. I don’t really like other animals so I would please ask that I could be the only pet in my new home, that way I can have all of the cuddles for myself! I just love going for adventures and I walk really well on the lead.
“I know that I am safe and loved here and I am surrounded by my friends but I would just love to find a family to call my own! If you think you know who they are then please, please tell them to speak to one of my friends here.”
Danny needs an owner who is experienced with slightly nervy dogs and will help him settle in at his own pace. If you think you’re the calm, kind, understanding person Danny could depend on please contact Freshfields Animal Rescue as follows:
