Skyla (Rescue Remedies, kennelled West Sussex)

17/5/20 – Skyla still needs a home

Skyla is a pretty girl with lovely, soft eyes and she’s around 10 years old. She is currently in kennels with Rescue Remedies near Gatwick, West Sussex, while she hopes to go home soon with her new family.

Skyla is a very friendly and affectionate Labrador/Staffie Cross. She Is an undemanding and cuddly dog who would make a lovely companion. She had been living with 2 other dogs, but did not get on with one of them and she came into rescue, saving her life. She was found to have a urine infection, adding to the intense stress within the pack. Skyla is now neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.

This is what her walkers had to say:
“Skyla was welcoming and friendly when I went to meet her in her kennel. She was a tiny bit nervous but so wanted to make friends and accept attention. No problem getting out, she observed but did not bark at other dogs. Skyla was a bit skittish on the lead, sudden movements or loud noises worried her. The first time we passed the cement mixer which was working she was quite frightened but the second time we passed she just glanced and then carried on. In the short time I spent with her this morning she relaxed and settled a lot. She then was happy to meet Natalie and was a pro posing for her photos.”

“I got to walk Skyla yesterday. She was a bit nervous of me in the kennel when harnessing her, but I was faffing about. She is a lovely easy walk. Out of the kennel all nerves were gone and I got kisses and had some lovely cuddles with her. Utterly charming lady.”
