08/05/2020 – Stella has been adopted! Hooray!
Friendly and loving, little Stella is an 8 year old Dachshund Cross. She has been returned to the care of Safe Rescue due to a change in family circumstances which meant they could no longer look after her. She is currently living in a foster home near Norwich, Norfolk.
Stella was initially rescued from a Romanian shelter around 6 years ago. She was adopted and has been very well loved and looked after for all of those years until now. She is a sweet little girl who would like a quiet retirement home to live out her twilight years.
Stella can be a little timid of meeting strangers but has settled well into her foster home. Upon meeting new people, she will bark and snap but, within an hour of being in a new home, she is friendly and loving towards them, so anyone wanting to visit her will need to see past her initial fears.
Stella is living happily with other dogs in her foster home but was not good with the dogs in a recent failed rehome attempt, so any existing dogs need to be able to stand up to her. She has met cats on many occasions with no issues.
Stella had a dental in 2018 and had 25 teeth removed so she is quite gummy, but she eats well and is still happy to crunch on biscuits! Stella travels well in a car and can be left home alone for a few hours with no issues.
