Oscar is an 8 year old Staffy boy in the care of Freshfields Animal Rescue in Liverpool. He arrived as a stray and even months later, he’s a bag of nerves in kennels. However, there is one staff member he’s become attached to and with him, Oscar is happy, relaxed and loving. He wants a human who can be with him most of the time and who loves walkies!
Oscar will need to be the only pet in an adult-only home. Children are a bit too unpredictable for such a sensitive soul. He’ll need walking at quiet times of day or in quiet areas so he doesn’t have to fret about the intentions of other dogs.
Obviously, he wants a calm and confident owner who will allow him to get used to things in his own time. Potential adopters will have to visit several times to build up a bond with Oscar and then have a phased introduction into his new home. The best things in life are worth waiting for and that includes Oscar’s love!
If Oscar’s favourite staff member was in a position to adopt, he would. He does have Oscar round at his house a few times a week to give him some respite from the stress of kennels. Oscar is clean and well behaved in the home. He’s an adorable companion when he feels safe and loved!
Experience with nervy dogs is important, as is taking the advice and support of Freshfields on Oscar’s habits and body language. The fact that he is so at ease and content with this particular member of staff shows that all he needs is the right forever home to be that happy all the time.
If you might be the reliable person Oscar can dote on AND you live close enough to visit several times, please contact Freshfields Animal Rescue as follows:
