Dooley (Love Underdogs, Essex)

Gorgeous Dooley is an 11-year-old medium-large boy who is with Love Underdogs in Essex. You would need to be able to visit Dooley at least a couple of times, to get to know him, before taking him for a home trial.

Dooley is a wonderful dog who came to the UK from Romania via another rescue and their foster placement was not appropriate for him. He came to Love Underdogs very scared but is now a transformed dog.

Dooley is an amazing character, very street dog with a lifetime of experience, he is a really enthusiastic dog and very funny with it. His ears give him huge character too. Dooley likes to do a little dance before going on a walk, and then trots off like it’s the best thing in the world.

He needs experienced owners who will not be bothered by the fact that it will take a while before they can give Dooley a fuss. It is unlikely you will be in a position to cuddle him even after a few visits at the kennels; it will just take time, and Love Underdogs cannot say how much of a cuddly dog he will be. What they do know is that he has a super happy personality and the sun always shines in his head, which is so good for the soul!

Dooley is a very sensitive boy, so needs owners who are in tune with their dog; Dooley requires emotional intelligence as he is a dog with great depth. He needs to live as an only dog or with a well-matched female dog, in an adult-only, experienced home. He could live with cats. His new home will need to be somewhere quiet, though not necessarily rural, and he needs a garden of his own. He may be an older dog, but he is very active and loves running around and going on good walks.

Dooley is neutered and microchipped and has had a full vet check; he had quite a few teeth removed and has not got many left!

Could you offer this sensitive lad a lovely new life and a patient attitude?
