Kevin is a 9 year old Husky who is being cared for by the RSPCA Millbrook centre in Surrey and would love a new, forever home. He is looking for a quiet, ideally Husky experienced, adult home with a private, large garden.
Kevin is very friendly with people but has had no experience with children and can be worried by handling, so he would be best in an adult home. He does like attention, but he is also a typical Husky so someone who has had experience with owning Huskies or reading about the breed before would be ideal.
Kevin travels well and will need a medium/large vehicle. He is not used to long journeys, so will need a slow build-up. He may need house training and will need someone based at home with a gradual increase in being left. He will require grooming.
Kevin is a big dog so will need an owner(s) that can physically hold him and he will require a large, fully enclosed garden with 6ft fencing for off-lead play. He does love a run around and a kick around with a football. Renting privately hired dog walking field/area would be recommended.
Kevin needs to be an only dog in the home. He will need to stay on the lead in public at all times and walked in quiet areas where there are not other dogs off the lead. Distance needs to be maintained around other dogs as Kevin is not a fan of dogs coming into his space, but he can happily walk pass other dogs from a distance.

Please mention that you saw Kevin on the Oldies Club website.
Please note: The adoption teams will search through applications to find potential matches that meet all of the animal’s individual needs. They may contact you to discuss the adoption process and your application in more detail.
Millbrook regrettably is unable to keep a waiting list. However, they are able to keep your application for up to 3 months to hopefully try to match you with another animal.
