The Oldies Club stall at the 2006 Wag & Bone Show raised nearly £250 and lots of awareness. Despite the fierce heat, the stand was pretty busy all day and we got to talk to lots of dog enthusiasts and representatives of other rescues about how the Oldies Club works and what we do.
What Breed Competition
If you took part in our ‘What Breed is this Dog?’ competition at the show (or even if you didn’t) you might like to see which dogs belong to which breeds:
The competition was won by Pauline Hadlen of Bucks.
All of these are dogs that have been homed or are still looking for homes with the help of the Oldies Club.
Here are a few photos:
First thing in the morning before most of the other stalls had arrived:
But it wasn’t long before it started getting busy
Snatch and Ruby on the stall, showing just how cute older dogs can be if they feel like it!
A couple of oldies visiting our stand together to find out about the OC
Alice, the first Oldies Club Pets As Therapy dog comes over from the PAT stand to say hello.
Lady, rehomed by the Oldies Club a year ago (more here) and obviously very much loved by her new owners:
And another visiting OC dog with new owner, Bruno Shortlegs.
And by the end of the day, at least one of the team running the stall was quite worn out:
Please visit our sponsors, Initial Ideas if you are looking for Christmas presents this autumn, as we very much appreciate their support!
