Happy New Year to all Oldies Club volunteers and supporters. Thank you so much for your help in 2012. We wish everyone all the best for 2013.

We hope everyone had a lovely New Year’s Eve and that animal friends weren’t too bothered by fireworks.

Maybe, with the start of a new year, you have decided you would like to make some positive changes to your life this year? Giving up smoking perhaps; adopting a healthier eating plan; or taking up a challenge such as participating in an organised run or climbing a mountain?

If you would like an added incentive to embark on a challenge, while raising funds for your favourite charity, please consider setting up a fundraising page via the Oldies Club Just Giving account. All money raised through your page will then come directly to Oldies Club, including any Gift Aid collected. You can promote the page to your family, friends and colleagues, to encourage support and we can share a link on our facebook page too.

Setting up a Just Giving page to raise funds for Oldies Club is a relatively straight forward process.

Just click HERE to visit the main Oldies Club page at Just Giving.

Then under Start Fundraising For us, click on the Make a Page button. From there, select the most appropriate option, choose your page name and start setting up your page. The personal challenge option may work best for those who are not taking part in an organised event or setting up the page for a specific occasion.

For inspiration, you can take a look at existing Oldies Club fundraising pages from the main page (see first link, above). Please do edit the page/your thank you message and upload your own photos, to personalise the page and encourage donations. Include some relevant, personal information about your challenge, so that people can see why you have decided to do this :)

If you have any questions about setting up a Just Giving fundraising page for Oldies Club, please feel free to email Angela at f@oldies.org.uk.

Thank you :)
