Tom, a 15 year old West Highland Terrier boy, came into the Oldies Club rescue after his owner had to go into a care home due to ill health. Tom went to an Oldies Club foster home in County Durham.
We are very sad to say that Tom had a sore area on his face, which upon investigation under general anaesthetic was found to be a large, painful tumour that was preventing him opening his mouth properly. There was no option but to put poor little Tom to sleep to save him further suffering.
Our thoughts are with his foster carer who cared for Tom so well in the short time that he was with her.
Rest in peace little Tom. :(
