Adorable Jack a 12 year old Shih Tzu and his pal Pepe a 13 year old Toy Poodle came into the Oldies Club rescue in August 2017. At first everything seemed fine and after routine vet treatment the pair went up for rehoming.
Unfortunately Jack began losing weight and seems a lot more confused and unsettled. Not the happy soul his fosterers has grown to know. Blood tests were taken suspecting diabetes but they revealed that sadly Jack has kidney failure. The vet diagnosed steroids and a low protein diet to help Jack but his prognosis is months rather than years.
Due to Jack’s health concerns and unknown time left, Oldies Club made the decision to place Jack along with his inseparably buddy Pepe in our sponsor dog scheme. Sadly Jack’s time with us was shorter than we expected. He continued to loose weight and began to suffer so on January 2018 Jack was pts. Sleep tight little one x
