———–

Luckie is a German Shepherd X Collie, aged about 8½ years old, who was originally adopted from Chilterns Dog Rescue Society as a puppy. Unfortunately, Luckie’s owner is moving very soon and can’t take him along, so he is looking for a new home.

Due to a few health issues, Luckie will not cope very well with kennel life, so CDRS are hoping to find him a new home, or even a temporary foster home, before his owner moves.

Luckie is an affectionate, well behaved and un-demanding dog, who has been loved and well cared for. He enjoys the company of people of all ages and gets on well with other dogs and cats. Visiting children would be warmly greeted, but he would perhaps find their constant presence a bit too much.

Luckie can be left for sensible periods of time without being noisy or destructive, but he can be unsettled by thunder or fireworks. He loves being out in the garden, playing with his toys and would love to retire to a quieter home with an enclosed, medium-sized garden where he can explore at his leisure.

Luckie has developed some hip dysplasia which means he can only undertake short walks (hence the need for a garden for him). He also has occasional epileptic fits, on average every three to four months. He is not currently on any medication for this as his vet feels the fits are too infrequent to warrant any treatment.

Luckie is neutered and otherwise in good health.
