17/4/13 – Cookie and Oakley have found a home!
———————————————————

This pretty tortoiseshell girl is Cookie and she is 8 and half years old. She arrived at National Animal Welfare Trust with her brother Oakley (not pictured) because her previous owner’s daughter was allergic to cats.

While Cookie is a tortie, Oakley is a handsome, short haired black boy with a white bib. He doesn’t like having his photos taken so Cookie agreed to pose for them both! They are both lovely cats, but it does take them some time to build up confidence when meeting new people. Once they have your trust, they both love being stroked and will happily sit on your lap.

Both cats are litter-trained and enjoy going outside, although more often than not, they prefer to stay indoors looking for a fuss.

Cookie and Oakley can share their new home with another cat. They have lived with a dog before and would happily share again, provided the dog was respectful of their feline natures! They are able to live with calm older children who will give them space to relax and settle in and not be too loud, as they can get spooked by loud noises.

Both cats will chase toys but do like their sleep in between play sessions. They can live with full time workers as long as they have each other for company.

Cookie and Oakley would like to find a home together, but can be rehomed separately if that is not possible.
