Beautiful Belle, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, came into the Oldies Club rescue due to a relationship split in her original home. She went to one of our lovely foster homes, where she quickly made herself at home and wrapped her foster carer around her sweet staffy paws. It soon became clear to her foster carer that Belle had already found her forever home!

We’d like to share this rehoming story we have received about Belle, which also has a little background about her adopter’s previous foster dogs:
“Belle was my third foster dog. Jess, my first, went to a lovely home and that was the right decision. Sox, my second, was supposed to be with me for only a month, but within a week I knew she wasn’t going anywhere! We lived happily together for seven years. Then, a year and a half after losing Sox, I was ready to foster again, but I was adamant it would only be fostering…
When Belle came to me, I thought I was right. As a staffy, I thought that Belle would need a busier home than mine. However, as we got into our routine, and I could let her off lead in the park, I realised the fit was perfect again.

She is a pocket rocket. At 8, people often mistake her for a pup. Her tail wags all the time and she loves people (especially men!). She loves her food, loves to play, and she makes me laugh every day.

She snores like a trooper and takes every opportunity she can to have a snooze.

I never thought I’d take on another dog full-time, let alone a staffy at my age (I’m retired), and that’s the beauty of fostering. You take a dog and, if you are really lucky, you become a failed fosterer as you’ve had the opportunity to see what might happen!

And the last word goes to Belle…”
Thank you so much for sending news of Belle. We couldn’t be happier for you both and hope you have many happy years together!
