July has seen the number of dogs featured on the OC website that are now rehomed cross the 100 mark!

It never ceases to amaze me how rapidly some of the dogs get rehomed. We had Amy, the staffy with a severe skin condition for only a couple of weeks before her new owner came all the way from London to collect her. This kind hearted lady took Amy on knowing she had a life long complaint that would always require treatment. I had anticipated having Amy for sometime but fate had other ideas. Dylan, the fourteen year old yorkie who is blind and almost bald, has a home to go to next weekend after also spending just two weeks here with me in foster care. For all the sad cases we see, and of those there are plenty, there is someone out there who is as good as the abusers are bad and we have found some spectacularly kind hearted people who offer their homes and their hearts to our oldie club dogs.

Oldies Club dogs Madeline, Amy, Alice and Dylan have also found loving homes this month – watch out for further updates on the website!

Sadly there are still some dogs that linger in rescue after months or years in kennels. We would ask that all members continue to put up the posters for the trailies (Spot has been rehomed but Benny, Nell and Glen are still waiting) and Moss and Hoppy, there is a home out there for every dog and we’re not done yet in trying to find homes for those two beautiful pairs of dogs.
