Update 13/10/08 Wonderful Joyce has very sadly lost her fight to live today. Her devoted owner is in our thoughts.
Joyce was in a terrible state when she arrived in rescue but this girl’s luck really changed when she found a loving new home in time for Christmas. Her dedicated new owner has been sending daily updates to let us know how she is progressing.
As you can see, Joyce enjoys the luxury of eating a bone in her armchair:
She’s also been tucking into Christmas turkey leftovers and has plenty of fresh chicken on a regular basis – lucky girl! Joyce’s new owner is hoping that her top-quality diet will help rebuild her wasted muscles and improve her coat. Her strength and mobility seem to have improved already in the short time she has been in her new home, which is wonderful news.
Joyce is having the odd slight skirmish with her new companion, Tara, but these will hopefully be gradually ironed out. They generally seem quite happy together. This is Tara:
