—————
Tofty is 14 years old. She is a spayed female, Jack Russell terrier, with no known health problems. Tofty is good with cats and other dogs but would not be suitable for a home with children, as she is not used to living with them and is a bit set in her ways to get used to having children about the place at her age.

Tofty needs a loving quiet home to live out her retirement years, preferably one where she will not be left alone at night.

Tofty’s story is a sad one: she is loved by her current owner, but she has a tendency (as so many dogs do) to bark when her owner is away, and because her owner works as a carer, she sometimes has to be out of the house at night. The barking has upset the neighbours, and one of them has become unreasonable. There have been threats made against poor Tofty, and it has become clear that she would be safer elsewhere.

Rescue’s rehoming policy:
Our rehoming policy is to find a permanent home for our pets. We perform homechecks. Our pets are sterilized – age permitting – prior to going to new home; if too young, this must be undertaken by new adopter – we ask for proof of this.
We have the right to remove the pet if we feel it is not being cared for by the adopter. We will rehome to wherever a suitable home is found – transport is not an issue. We ask for a donation to help with other pets that come to us.
