25 August 2007 – we have been informed that Tilly very sadly passed away suddenly earlier this month :( Our thoughts are with those that knew Tilly.

Tilley is a pretty white and tan, eight-year-old spayed female Jack Russell Terrier, being rehomed by Bath Cats & Dogs Home.

Tilly, Bath Cats & Dogs Home

She was rehomed shortly after arriving at the home as a stray, but was sadly returned to the home after only two weeks, in May 2005.

According to Bath Cats & Dogs Home, Tilly is very nervous when you first meet her and if you move too fast towards her she flinches, which makes you think that she must have been mistreated in the past. Slowly, slowly is the life for her.

She is a very sweet lass that loves to be picked up and cuddled but on her terms. It will take a long period of getting to know her, for her to make a real lap dog and she will need a quiet house where she can be at ease and come round in her own time.

Tilly is very active for her age, loves to go for walks, is good on the lead and is now starting to play with toys and people. She will make a very loyal companion but any potential adoptees will need to spend a very long time with her to gain her trust. It has taken a while, but she now feels confident enough to bring her toy into her kennel from the paddock – hating to be parted from it!

Tilly is seeking an experienced owner that is willing to work closely with the behaviourist at Bath Cats & Dogs Home, prior to adoption. She is not good with other dogs, hasn’t mixed with felines and is seeking a new home without children.

If you are interested in offering a loving, permanent new home to tiny Tilley, who can be found in B Block with ID number 5796, please contact Bath Cats & Dogs Home directly:

Please let them know that you saw Tilly on the Oldies Club website :)

You will need to visit the home to meet Tilly and and go through the rescue’s usual adoption procedure – please contact the home before travelling to avoid disappointment.
