Who could forget poor little Ralph, the elderly Cocker who spent 5 years in rescue waiting for a home. Luckily for Ralph he was transferred to the Ark and they asked Oldies Club to help find him a new home.

In less than two weeks of being advertised on the Oldies site, Ralph had a queue of people wanting to give him a home, including a lovely family from Scotland. They wanted him so much they travelled all the way from Argyll to Hull to fetch him.

As Ralph has something of a fan club since being listed on the Oldies site, his new family have sent us this update;

Ralph is settling in to family life well and has the company of our 3 other cockers. Considering his very long time in kennels and his health problems, he’s a very happy old man who has enjoyed his forest walks and trips to the beach since he joined us.

He had such a sad story that he touched the hearts of many cocker fans and he even received a very nice jumper, kindly donated by K9 Knitters!

We just wanted you to know how much we love Ralph and we’re delighted that he made the long journey from Hull to Argyll to live out his retirement.

We hope our special old man has only happy days ahead.

Best wishes with your work!
Elaine, Henry and family (including Hugo & Murphy and 8yr old Rosie, a mere youngster next to 14yr old Ralph)
