January 2009: Biscuit has very sadly had to be put to sleep due to illness. Our thoughts are very much with his foster mum who took such wonderful care of Biscuit in his final months.

Biscuit is a fragile little oldie who sadly had to part company with his lifelong owner when she went into sheltered accommodation. He had nowhere to go, so came into Oldies Club care and is now in a foster home in Liverpool.

Biscuit is a Yorkshire Terrier of about 14 years old and unfortunately he has many ailments – a heart murmur, arthritis, gum disease and reduced kidney function. His eyesight is also very poor and he has urinary incontinence.

Biscuit is currently on medication and he desperately needs dental treatment for his gum disease. Unfortunately he’s not yet strong enough to stand an anaesthetic, so his wonderful foster mum is working hard to help him build up his strength.

Biscuit is a lovely little fellow who, despite all his medical problems, seems to be making the most of what life has to offer. He loves his food and enjoys a brush and a cuddle. He likes to have a potter around the garden or an occasional bark at any threats, real or imagined!

Oldies Club would love to see Biscuit eventually find his permanent retirement home, but in the meantime he’ll stay in our care to ensure he gets all the medical treatment he needs.

If you’d like to make a big difference to this little fellow’s life, please consider sponsoring him.
