12/6/08 Susie has been adopted by her foster carer!
If you could order a cat with the perfect temperament, dear Susie would be your girl! She is an elderly cat who is currently in the care of AARU in Nottinghamshire.
Susie is absolutely no trouble, good company, loving and sweet-natured, with a hint of mischief thrown in for good measure! Susie adores people and you won’t have to look too far for her. She readily snuggles-up close for a fuss and likes to nudge your hand for even more strokes!
She would be suited to either someone at home or out at work, as she is a quiet and composed little cat. In her golden years, Susie appreciates a calm and tranquil environment, with no small children or noisy dogs. Susie is an indoor only cat. Although her general health is good, she does have a slight heart murmur, which she is on medication for. This isn’t expensive and Susie is doing well. She also has the feline herpes virus. Whilst this isn’t transferable to humans, it is to other cats and, therefore, she will need to be the only cat.
(Note: Feline herpes affects cats with “flu-like symptoms for approximately 7 – 10 days during flare-ups, although the risk of flare-ups can be lessened by minimising stress and making sure the cat has enough to eat and drink etc. It is not a serious condition but can make the cat feel rather miserable at the time. Imagine how you feel when you have flu).
In view of her need for long-term medication, we are happy to negotiate our adoption fee if the right home was offered.
Could you give Susie the long-awaited chance of a permanent forever home? She is so patient and loyal and would make an ideal companion for someone with room in their heart and home for a gentle little cat.
