Trish’s Trudge – latest update

It all started on Sunday 18th May 2008. I stood at the most northerly point in the UK, and took my first step of Trish’s Trudge which would take me the length of the country to Lands End!

Now, almost 80 days later, I’ve reached the wet hills of Yorkshire and am working my way down the Pennine Way. The scenery has been fantastic, and I’ve met some real characters along the way. But the best bit has been the dogs I’ve met. I dropped in to the Dogs Trust centre at West Calderdale near Edinburgh, and met some of their lovely residents who are waiting for their forever home. I have also met some lovely Oldies’ dogs – and their stories are heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time.

I’ve raised over £700 so far – and am hoping that much more sponsorship comes in between now and Lands End. The funds raised will be split between Dogs Trust and The Oldies Club – so please give generously. You can find out details of how to donate on http://www.trishstrudge4dogs.co.uk/

I’d love to meet fellow dog lovers en route. The route I’m following is on the website, so do check out when I’ll be in your area and come and join me for a bit of my trudge!
