We’ve heard from the new owner of Casper who rehomed him privately from his previous owner.

I have to say both my husband and I are completely in love with the little lad. He is absolutely adorable and incredibly cheeky for someone of his years!! Casper has fitted in very well right from the start with our two Cocker Spaniels, DiXie and Oscar, and two Red Setter brothers, Hector and Dylan, all youngsters (3, 2 and 3 years old respectively).

Casper makes no bones about what he wants, and where he wants to go. He can be quite vocal but very endearing. He is also a right little Harry Houdini!!! The other dogs love him because he creates access when they have before been denied (eg upstairs anytime of day or night, hear little clattering of the claws on the laminated floor!).

Casper gambols along on long walks with ease, and even navigates the dreaded brooks when he has to. We have yet to introduce him to the delights of the saltmarsh and beaches along the North Norfolk coast – roll on March!!!

I am so glad we took on Casper – it has helped not only him/his owners but also me after the unexpected death of my beloved Blue Roan, Dougal, in June of this year. It has helped me focus on someone else in a positive manner.

I would definitely re-home another oldie and recommend it to others.”
