We’ve heard from Scruffy:
“Thought I would put paw to keyboard to tell you how I getting on with training my new people. They can’t do enough for me and are always stroking and talking to me. See? That didn’t take long, did it? Also, I get a biscuit or chew every time I am groomed (which is every day!) and if I look particularly cute, I get a tummy rub as well. Humans are so gullible!
I am enclosing some pictures of me, my friend Kai and my Mum. She takes me out twice a day and we meet lots of other canines. We swap notes on how to con more treats out of them and they fall for it every time!
I did have to go to the vets with a sore eye and ears but it wasn’t as bad as I had thought and every time Mum put stuff in my ears and eye, guess what? More treats!
I used to sleep on the hard floor and Mum was worried about my poor old limbs but now, I’ve got a warm, soft bed next to Mum and she strokes me until I go to sleep. Thank you for finding me such a nice home. A bit more training and my humans will be ready for ‘Scrufts!’
Must go. It’s time for a snooze before dinner. A dog’s life is not all bad you know.
