When beautiful Beethoven came into Oldies Club care he quickly charmed his fosterers and showed what a lovely boy he was. In February this year he found his dream forever home and we all wished him a long and happy life with his perfect new family. He certainly fulfilled the wish that he would be happy but sadly, that time proved to be only too short. His family have sent us this lovely piece about him:
“I see on the oldies website you have an “In Loving Memory” slot. If Beethoven is going to have a few words then I would like to say he was the most gorgeous fella, lovely nature, easy going went wtih the flow. He settled in here immediately which I am so pleased about as he only had such a short time with us. We had 3 fabulous holidays together – one in a holiday let that had free range chickens in the garden and they came inside which he found absolutely fascinating.
He loved the seaside and he absolutely loved going to my horse and scuffling around in her shelter and eating horse poo! He was so well behaved and as I said before he became quite a celebrity around here!
We miss his prescence terribly – you could have real conversations with him – he had a most wonderful range of noises and we nicknamed him chatty man! He also became known as Mr B, B, Tiggs because he just loved his tickles! When I came home from work we used to have a mad 5 minutes around the garden together – I am sure the neighbours think I am quite mad!
We will be getting another dog or even two, in the next few weeks.”
Beethoven might have been with his new family for only a short time but he packed loads of love and fun into those few months. Run free, Beethoven. xx
