Toby, a very special 9 year old Springer Spaniel boy, came into the Oldies Club rescue after his original owner died and he wasn’t coping with living with lively young children in the home of the family member that took him in. Toby went to an Oldies Club foster home in Lancashire where it quickly became apparent that Toby had a serious health problem as he was drinking huge amounts of water.

He went straight to the vet who sadly advised that Toby had numerous ailments, including a grade 4 hear murmur, large masses, and was suspected to have diabetes and multiple organ failure. It was clear that Toby was in pain and was suffering, so he went to sleep in his poor foster carer’s arms.

We are all devastated about Toby and our thoughts are with his fosterer who said that he will always have a place in her heart and it was a privilege to have had him in her life if only for a brief moment. Sleep tight Toby. :(
