Wonderful Wonky Stiggy Wiggy (Oldies Club, fostered Suffolk)

Adorable little Stig was a cute little Terrier lad who was around 13 years old when he arrived in the Oldies Care.  Sadly he arrived with a poorly heart and it was not known how long he would be with us.  His wonderful foster carer took him into her home and into her heart and in no time all the family fell in love with this incredibly sweet little guy.

His Foster Carer takes over to tell you all about this beautiful little man:

“Stig was the quirkiest of little old men.  He had a wonky ear, a wonky walk and a waggy tail.  When I collected Stig I instantly fell in love with him.  We knew that Stig had a poorly heart and possibly would not be with us long, but within a week of lots of good food, cuddles and sleeping on my bed, friends commented on how well he was looking and we had hope that we would be able to build him up and have him for a while.

Stig got excited when it was walk time, he would chatter until his harness was on. He loved being out enjoying the new smells and of course the attention from everyone we met.  One of his favourite spots was lying on the doormat with the warm breeze blowing in his face, or just snuggled next to the other dogs on the sofa or next to us humans.  He loved ice-cream and could sniff it out from a far.

Within weeks this little old man had discovered how cosy it was to snuggle under the duvet at night.

He was such a gentle little man, never asked for anything but food, warmth and love.

Thank You Stig for all you taught us.

You may have been small but you have left a huge hole in our hearts .

RIP Stiggy Wiggy”

Our thoughts are with Stig’s lovely foster carer and her family who all became very fond of this special boy.

Sleep peacefully now, Stig. x
