12/3/17 – Jake and Scragg have been rehomed!
——————

These two gorgeous cats are Scragg (approx. 13 years) the tortoiseshell and Jake (approx. 10 years) the tabby. They are a mother and son pair, in the care of Helping Pets North East. They need to be rehomed together as Jake would be lost without his Mum! They can live with other cats but not dogs and need a quiet, adult only home.

Scragg is anything but scraggy these days with her beautiful, luxuriant coat. She probably suited her name when she was first taken in as stray, pregnant with Jake and his siblings. She’s now a confident, sociable girl. She loves human company and plenty of fuss!

Jake is much more shy than his mother. They’re both used to living indoors and since Jake has only ever lived in one house, he’s taken to hiding a lot since he’s been in his foster home. He needs owners who are understanding of his nervousness and will let him gain confidence in his own time. Despite his wariness of his new surroundings he still likes some lap time!

Both cats have been neutered, microchipped and worm/flea treated. Jake had a dental recently and had several teeth out. He recovered just fine and is much more comfortable now.
