Because the Oldies Club only deals with dogs that are at least 7 years old, our vet bills are always higher than average for most dog rescues – but at the moment we are particularly struggling with bills.

We are currently caring for FeeBee, Cofi, Scooter and recently Max – all older dogs who are needing extra vet care – and any help with this you can offer us would be hugely appreciated.

FeeBee
Feebee

Poor FeeBee has a mystery illness which is thought to be an autoimmune problem. She is on steroids, and has had tests for all sorts of problems, but her red blood count is falling and although we have managed to give her a few more weeks of really enjoying life, her lifetime is likely to be limited. FeeBee is not available for rehoming, but will stay in a loving Oldies Club foster home for as long as we can give her quality of life. If you would like to help us care for this lovely old girl, please consider taking part in our sponsor scheme.

Cofi
Cofi

Poor Cofi has a bacteria/yeast type skin infection, and needs to be bathed twice weekly with Maluseb shampoo and she is on antibiotics too. She is also on medication for a thyroid problem which left her very overweight, though she has been losing weight at an excellent rate in the care of her fosterers.

Cofi is now looking for a home. [read more]

Scooter
Scooter

Scooter has developed a lung infection and the poor little chap also has a heart murmur. The infection has been treated with antibiotics but he needs to take vivitonin and steroids for the rest of his life.

Scooter is looking for a home with his friend Guinness [read more]

Max
Max
Max is generally a healthy chap, and has already been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and wormed, but he has had problems with his teeth, and has recently been on antibiotics and painkillers for an infection. This all adds to our alarming vet bills.

Max has just found his new home!: [read more]
